Would Trump’s policies really 'Make America Great Again'?

In this article: During the lead-up to the 2016 US Presidential election, Donald Trump adopted ‘Make America Great Again’ as his iconic slogan. In his first term, his supporters point to economic protectionism, selective foreign policy, and a hard line on immigration as evidence that he prioritises his country. However, those on the other side of the political divide, and even some senior Republicans, argue that his policies do not make America great. With the 2024 election polls on a knife edge, the key question many are asking is: Would Trump’s policies really ‘Make America Great Again’?

Are pricey concert tickets making live entertainment less accessible?

However, this increasing demand for university education has led to more universities and courses popping up, some of which inevitably don’t lead to good outcomes. This has prompted many to brand these courses a rip-off but others argue that university has a unique value regardless of the job it gets you. Are these degrees really a waste of money?

Should the UK Legalise Assisted Dying?

In this article: We will look at the question of the legalisation of assisted death in the UK. Assisted dying involves a physician deliberately prescribing end-of-life medication and means to a terminally ill patient. Some argue that the legalisation of assisted death gives the terminally ill patient a ‘choice’ to have a dignified death on their terms. However, others argue that legalisation may induce a slippery slope to broader distrust in the healthcare system and negatively alter social attitudes toward the terminally ill.
